The Sunday doubleheader will see Paarl Rocks opening their campaign against Tshwane Spartans who lost their opening game against Cape Town Blitz. Paarl Rocks will be led by the South African skipper Faf du Plessis.
Paarl Rocks
This will be the opening encounter for Paarl Rocks, but they will be missing the services of their captain Faf du Plessis who is on national duty. The team management surfaced the news that Henry Davids will lead the side in his absence.
They have a good amalgamation of youth and experienced players in their camp which will definitely help their cause when the tournament will head towards the business end.
Tshwane Titans
Their first game was a one-way traffic which saw the Cape Town Blitz getting all-over their opponents. Skipper Ab de Villiers valiant efforts went in vain as he was the lone warrior for the Spartans with 59 runs from 30 balls which included 3 fours and 5 sixes. The Spartans were taken down in every facet of the game, their bowlers leaked runs in the first innings which saw Capetown piled up a challenging 180 on the board.
